JT Bates Group’s 10th Anniversary: Blessed and Thankful

Overview

Can you believe it’s been 10 years since JT Bates Group started? We can’t either! We’ve been blessed with such phenomenal growth and we know that more growth is yet to come. We have also been richly blessed by working with dedicated employees and serving loyal customers. In light of all this, we would like to highlight some pivotal milestones in our company and thank the amazing people who made them possible.

Trifecta: Columbus Fast 50 List

On October 22nd, 2019, JT Bates Group awarded the 18th spot on Columbus Business First’s Fast 50 list! This is the third year that we have had the honor of making this list and due to many blessings and hard work in 2019, we moved from 20th position in 2018 to the 18th position in 2019.

“We’re very excited to receive this award for the third consecutive year,” said Jayme Bates, chief executive officer of JT Bates Group. “We attribute the success of this company to our incredible team. We strive every day to serve our clients and their communities while living out our core values of humility, approachability, accountability, and proactivity.”

New Employees and Promotions

In the last ten years, we have grown our workforce from two to 20 employees! Originally, the company began in Columbus Ohio, where some employees still reside. However, in 2017, Jayme and her husband Brad moved to Georgetown, Texas and have hired a number of people local to the Austin area. While we do have employees that work halfway across the country from each other, our entire team is passionate about delivering the same quality service to our customers, and we have shown that remote employment can be a unique strength for some companies.

Several pivotal promotions have occurred since the beginning of the company. On June 12, 2018, Jayme Bates was promoted to CEO and the announcement was made by Jim Ricker, Founder of JT Bates Group. Brad Bates who has been with the company since the beginning, is now the head of IT and Website Design. Miriah Smith, originally a member of our administration team and is now our Operations Manager. After offering consulting and marketing project management for several years, Amanda Murphy joined our team as an employee in 2017 as Director of Marketing.

Expansion of Products and Services

In 2010 when JT Bates Group began, there was only one product. Since then, we have expanded our product line to include REP (Rental Equipment Protection), Physical Damage Protection (PDP), and StraightDocs. Even though we are very proud of the products we offer to our customers, we are constantly trying to improve so that we remain excellent in everything we do.

Most recently JT Bates Group united with Ricker and Associates so that we will be able to offer a full range of services to help our customers.
